3 Cycling routes
The cycling routes around Renesse take you through dunes and woodland, past the Slapershil lookout tower and along the dikes by the water.
- A view from above: the Slapershil lookout tower stands on the Blinkert, the highest natural point of the island, in the middle of the forest.
Ancient grasslands: between Renesse and Burgh-Haamstede you pass the Vroongronden, once the shared pastures of the villagers. Birdwatching: on the Oosterschelde lies De Prunje, part of Plan Tureluur, where large flocks of waders rest in spring and autumn. Plompe Toren: a ride to the Plompe Toren on the Oosterschelde follows mostly quiet polder roads.- Junctions: follow the numbered signs and combine beach, woods and polders into a day trip.
