Boswachterij Westerschouwen - Nature

On the west side of the island Schouwen-Duiveland lies the impressive Westerschouwen Forestry: the largest forest area of Zeeland. This diverse nature reserve combines forests, dunes and open sand plains and is a paradise for walkers, cyclists and nature lovers.

• Excursieschuur Westerschouwen: Starting point for activities organised by Staatsbosbeheer, such as guided walks, treasure hunts, children’s events and nature excursions. You will also find up-to-date information and tips about the area here.
• Parking: Car parks are located at the Duinpad and the Adriaan van de Weijdeweg. From here you can walk straight into the forest.
• Mountain bike route: There is a challenging and popular 'Patrick Tolhoek' MTB trail designed for adventurous cyclists.
• Accessibility: Several paths are suitable for prams and wheelchairs, so everyone can enjoy this nature reserve.
