Here you look out over the sheltered side of the Brouwersdam, with water, shores, mudflats and small bird islands.

- Good chance of seeing waterbirds: You may see cormorants, shelducks, avocets, curlews, common terns, Sandwich terns, spoonbills and little egrets here, among other species. In winter and early spring, there is also a chance of spotting red-breasted mergansers.
Varied surroundings: The Kabbelaarsbank consists of woodland paths, open sandy areas, reed beds, marshy sections and shores. This makes even a short walk here feel surprisingly varied.
